About Skull Padel
What is Skull Padel?
Skull Padel is a Dutch padel brand, founded in 2022 in Amsterdam, that designs padel rackets, padel shoes, apparel, bags and accessories. The brand is known for its carbon padel rackets with a recognisable skull logo, inspired by the Mexican origins of padel. Skull Padel sells online at skullpadel.com and through authorised resellers, with customers in more than 80 countries.
Where is Skull Padel based?
Skull Padel was founded in Amsterdam in 2022 and is now based in Cruquius, near Haarlem and Amsterdam, in the Netherlands. All online orders are shipped from our warehouse in the Netherlands.
Are Skull Padel rackets good quality?
Skull Padel rackets are made with carbon fibre surfaces and EVA rubber cores, the same core materials used by the major padel brands. Our range runs from 3K to 24K carbon. The only exception is the V3500 entry model, which combines carbon and fibreglass to keep it comfortable and affordable for beginners. Customers have left more than 375 reviews in our store, and independent padel shops such as Padel Smash have reviewed several Skull Padel models.
Who plays with Skull Padel?
Skull Padel rackets are used by club players of all levels and by professional players. Our signature editions include the VEM10, designed with Argentine pro Exe Mourino, and the VNK01, designed with Indonesian pro Neils Khoe.

Which Skull Padel racket is best for beginners?
The V3500 is our racket for beginners. It has a hybrid shape, a soft EVA core and a 70% control balance, so it is forgiving when you do not hit the ball in the centre. Players who are progressing quickly can also start with the V660, a light hybrid racket with a medium core.
Which racket is best for intermediate players?
The V660 and V670 are hybrid rackets of around 350 grams with a medium EVA core and a balance between control and power. The V2020 suits intermediate players who prefer control and a soft feel.
Which racket gives the most power?
The V2090 is our most powerful racket: diamond shape, 24K carbon and a hard EVA core with a 75% power balance. For power with a little more comfort, choose the V2070 (medium core) or the V2080 (soft core).
Which racket should I choose if I have elbow or arm pain?
Choose a lighter racket with a soft core. The V1010 is our extra light model with a soft EVA core that absorbs vibrations, and the V3500 also has a soft core. Avoid hard-core rackets such as the V2090 until your arm has recovered. If you have an injury, ask a physiotherapist for advice as well.
What is the difference between a diamond, hybrid and round padel racket?
A diamond racket has its sweet spot high on the face and more weight towards the head, which gives extra power for smashes but is less forgiving. A round racket has a large, low sweet spot and is the easiest to control. A hybrid (teardrop) racket sits in between and suits most all-round players.
What is the difference between soft, medium and hard EVA?
The core of a padel racket is made of EVA rubber. A soft core makes the ball leave the racket easily and absorbs vibrations, which is comfortable and forgiving. A hard core feels more direct and gives more power on hard shots, but you need good technique to generate speed on slower balls. Medium is a balance between the two.
What does 3K, 12K, 18K or 24K carbon mean?
The number refers to how many thousand carbon filaments are woven into each strand of the carbon fabric on the hitting surface. 3K uses 3,000 filaments per strand, 24K uses 24,000. Higher K surfaces generally feel stiffer and more direct, while lower K surfaces feel a bit more flexible. All Skull Padel rackets except the V3500 use a carbon surface.
How heavy is a Skull Padel racket?
Most Skull Padel rackets weigh between 350 and 375 grams. The V660, V670 and V1010 are at the lighter end, around 350 grams, which makes them fast at the net and easier on the arm.
